The goal of the book is two-fold:
1. Education - We want the public to recognize
that "adoption is an option!"
2. Fundraising - 100% of all profits from the sale of
these books will be donated to the American
Mustang Society. who works tirelessly to help promote,
educate the public, help with gentling demonstrations, and
works tirelessly to place these wonderful animals who are so
much a part of America's history!
Sharing your successful adoption story in The Story of America's Mustangs and Wild Burros is a great way to say "thank you" to the hard working people who connected you with your Mustang or Burro and at the same time, it is a great way to share this wonderful secret with others who may not have considered adoption as an option!
How Do I Get Started?
It's Easy! We are looking for positive, true, successful adoption stories of either Mustangs or Burros. Stories can not encourage irresponsible training, riding or handling techniques. Our goal is to let the public know that with safe, responsible training and horsemanship skills, these animals can become wonderful riding partners, wonderful companions and, as more and more competitive riders are discovering, America's Mustangs can also be powerhouses in the show ring! To help defer the massive cost of producing a world class book of this caliber, we are asking participants to pay less than the cost of one fancy coffee per week to help with the expense so we can make this happen!
All the proceeds from all the book sales will be donated directly to the American Mustang Society and we are giving all participants Thank You gifts for being a part of this wonderful project. Check them out below!
Our Goal is to share your true life, positive adoption story with the world.
As a result, we will:
1. Help spread the word that adoption is an option!
2. Help spread the word about how talented and versatile these magnificent animals can be,
3. Raise funds to help find forever homes for the Mustangs and Burros,
4. Produce a world class, full color, coffee-table book that will honor the animals and the humans who made room for them in their heart and in their life. The value of doing a coffee-table book, aside from the fact that it is gorgeous, more imporantly, studies have shown that coffee-table books of this quality are cherished for decades by their owners. This means that if you are operating a commercial training facility, a nonprofit organization or if you are an individual animal owners, your story and your contact information will be available to readers for decades to come. If we had attempted to accomplish the same goal through magazine ads, for example, studies have shown that newspapers and magazines have a very short shelf life and are rarely saved by their readers.
The production costs to produce a museum quality art book are very high. To help offset these costs, we are offering one-page, two-page and four-page spreads in the book for a nominal cost (less than the cost of one latte per week and the book has fewer calories!) We are also including thank you gifts when you help us share these wonderful stories with the world, making this project a win/win for everyone, especially the Mustangs and Burros!
Four-Page Spreads are only $450.00 and include up to twelve photos of your adopted/trained
Mustangs or Burros, or those of your clients/patrons, along with up to 1600 words to share your stories. This choice is perfect for any nonprofit, commercial operation or larger organization who has more than one story to tell and would like to share your space with your clients or patrons.
We encourage you to include your website/contact information so people can connect with you from around the country. With this larger layout, you have the option of sharing the cost with your clients/patrons so everyone gets to showcase photos of their animals and you can include captions with each image. For example, if you offered all 12 images to your clients, each photo would only cost them $38.00 and you would pay nothing for the entire 4-page layout in the book that would include your contact information, barn/organization name, etc. etc. This is a win/win for the animals, for you, for your business/organization and it is great fun for your clients/patrons to be a part of. (The layout for the four-page spread is identical to the two-page spread shown below. The pages are doubled and your organization's name will appear on each of the four pages)
